Exporting & Loading Your Custom DSP Filters
Eclipse Audio software tools allow custom DSP data (IIR+FIR information &/or complete loudspeaker presets) to be exported in a variety of formats so it can be loaded into any DSP product (like speaker processors & amplifiers) with user-accessible settings.
This page is not an exhaustive list of ALL audio brands that allow filter loading. It includes:
File export formats & loading instructions for brands that allow users to load their own FIR filters.
IIR filter EQ loading instructions for brands with dedicated IIR emulation modes in FIR Designer.
For selected brands – currently Lake, LabGruppen, Powersoft & Marani – data can be directly transferred via ‘direct-to-processor’ functionality instead of the usual file export/upload process.
Loudspeaker Processing Interchange Format (LPIF)
LPIF is a vendor-independent method for documenting and transferring loudspeaker processing data, suitable for both file and network transfer.
All Eclipse Audio software supports LPIF (JSON) file export in addition to the export file formats noted below for each brand.

Common Questions about Loading EQ
While IIR filters and other settings are accessible in most processors, some brands don’t use FIR filters, or have ‘unadjustable’ built-in FIR settings which can’t be replaced with custom FIR filters.
